A surfer was bitten by a shark November 15.
Allen Engelman was paddling out from Singer Island, near Ocean Reef Park when he felt something grab his left hand.
“I felt his head around my elbow. My other arm, I felt his peck fin,” Englemna told WPTV 5 .
When the shark bit down, the 28-year-old fought back saying “I was grabbing on his peck fin trying to pull him off. And he let go and that was it.”
The commercial fisherman was able to paddle back to shore where a friend helped wrap his injuries and then took him to West Palm Beach hospital, where he received 15 stitches.
In a strange turn of events, the fisherman went back to the beach on Tuesday with a fishing pole and claims to have caught and killed the shark that bit him.
On the same day a swimmer was bitten by a shark at Palm Beach.
The location has been marked on the 2015 shark attack bites tracking map.
